Finance Administrator/ Book Keeper. Jericho, Oxford

£25,000 per annum (Pro-Rata) Part Time Role (24 Hours) with Flexible Hours

Are you an efficient and organised individual with a passion for numbers? Do you enjoy working with Financial Software? Oxford Product Design are a consultancy with ambitions about growth who are looking for an experienced Book Keeper or Financial Administrator to support them on this journey.

Who are we?

OPD create exciting and original new designs and technologies, by blending our skills of design, mechanics, electronics and engineering know-how. We work with clients ranging from house hold names through to entrepreneurs that have had that lightbulb idea. Based in Jericho, we’re a ten minute walk from the bus and train station.

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate would be someone with:

  • A scrupulous eye for detail and a methodical approach
  • Experience of working with Xero
  • A desire to evolve and optimise our existing systems
  • Enthusiasm about moving our business to the next phase of growth
  • Ambition to make OPD more competitive and profitable
  • Qualified to AAT Level 3 or the equivalent by experience
  • A ‘can do’ and independent attitude

What does the job involve?

  • Producing weekly project financial dashboard reporting
  • Managing invoicing within the business and tracking invoice payment status
  • Managing purchase invoices and inputting onto Xero
  • Bank reconciliation and responsibility for setting up bank payments
  • Cash flow monitoring
  • Chasing debtors
  • Running monthly payroll and returns to HMRC
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • Creating monthly management accounts
  • Working with Accountants to prepare Year End Accounts
  • Managing and maintaining the Xero Accounting System
  • Using Xero’s ‘Workflow MAX’ software to produce project related reporting

Office and Marketing Administrator, Jericho, Oxford

£22,000 per annum

Are you passionate about design? Do you like communicating and sharing ideas?  Are you happy to get stuck in with whatever is needed at any given moment? If so, then Oxford Product Design would love you to get in touch.

What does the job involve?

Marketing Support

  • Managing our social media accounts
  • Writing content for the OPD website
  • Helping arrange OPD events and exhibitions

Admin Support

  • Ordering project related materials and office sundries and supplies
  • Managing our goods in system
  • Providing meeting support – producing agendas, taking and circulating meeting minutes
  • General office admin – answering phone calls, collecting and sending post and packages, answering front door
  • Managing project archives, returning project supplies to clients at the end of a project
  • Helping to keep the general office environment tidy
  • Assisting Directors as and when required with their diaries, travel bookings, etc.
  • Set up new projects on our Project Management system, maintain current projects and run project reports
  • Collating time sheets and expenses
  • Administer contracts, proposals and NDA’s
  • Help with the production of documents, reports and presentations
  • Raise purchase orders and input purchase invoices into relevant system
